Fashion UK Summer School

Duration - 3 weeks

This is your chance to spend 3 weeks in the fashion department of a world famous University College. Fashion professionals will discuss current UK trends and provide insight on ‘life as a fashion designer’.

There will be lectures, practical studio sessions and educational excursions to museums and galleries. A variety of historical artefacts which have influenced British fashion will be on display. You will also visit well-known retailers in London and small boutiques to examine visual merchandising and window displays.

There will be opportunities to try modelling on a stand, fashion illustration methods, computer manipulation techniques, working with models, accessorizing, make-up and hair styling processes.

Excursion Include:

London

  • Visit some of the most famous streets in the retail world. Spot this seasons’ latest, shapes, colours, and textures

Victoria and Albert Museum in London

  • A collection of fashionable dress from the 17th century to the present day, jewellery, gloves and handbags

Bath Museum of Costume

  • View some of the earliest pieces in fashion history. The collection includes; embroidered shirts and gloves from the1600s and a variety of modern garments

Russell Cotes Art Gallery and Museum

  • One of the most fascinating and unique museums with a significant Victorian art collection
